The Future of Student Development: Scholars Discuss its Role and Relevance

Student Development theory has exploded in the last two decades. As identity theory and intersectionality move center stage, earlier theories which focus predominantly on psychosocial, cognitive and moral development become integral to examining the holistic development of college students. This notable panel of scholars discuss the role, trajectory of, and future directions of student development theory in the student affairs graduate curriculum. Suggestions for integrating student development theory and practice in the graduate classroom are also discussed.
