• Dr. Gavin Henning on The Completion Agenda

    Click here to view or download a transcript of this video. Gavin Henning is the current President of ACPA--College Student Educators International. He has more than 20 years of experience in student affairs including work in residential life, judicial affairs, diversity initiatives, alcohol and other drug issues, and professional development. Gavin has over 10 years’ experience in student affairs assessment and planning. He teaches student affairs assessment and research in the master’s programs at New England College and Salem State University. Gavin’s scholarship has been published in professional journals and he has been an invited speaker at regional and national conferences. He has been honored by ACPA for his research and his contributions to student affairs. Gavin is past chair of ACPA’s Commission for Assessment and Evaluation, member of the ACPA Governing Board serving as Director for Professional Development. He also is a board member for the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS). Additionally, he is founder and president of Student Affairs Assessment Leaders, an international organization of student affairs assessment professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts degree in College and University Administration from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of New Hampshire, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of New Hampshire.
